Sensei George W. Kent began his training in Martial Arts in 1967. He holds Black belts in many different styles and is an Arizona State College Certified Instructor. Sensei Kent has competed in numerous tournaments throughout the United States, Canada, Alaska and Mexico and has won many trophies and medals for his efforts. Sensei has had students in the past win international championships at the black belt Level.
Sensei Kent teaches traditional Shotokan Karate with many modern as well as traditional methods. He also teaches tournament competition fighting. Shotokan Karate prepares kids and adults to succeed in life. Shotokan tempers the body much like folding steel. It is a unique balance of mind and body harmonizing with the world with all its stresses in everyday living.
Sensei Kent strives for students not to just become a tournament fighter, but also a complete fighter that can defend themselves on the street. Sensei Kent holds onto the value of true Karate Do, which stresses that the final end is not just in the defeat of the opponent, but in the growth and the development of the student's character.
